Great advice. It's easy to get wrapped up in our daily
lives. What can we do to keep from
neglecting those gifts?
1 Timothy 4:14(NKJV)
Do not neglect the gift that is
in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the
hands of the eldership.
I guess I would
suggest first of all being aware of your gifts.
Then I think the next thing is to make it a point to ask God to guide
you in how He wants you to use those gifts.
And then finally, take action.
Use the gifts. It is by using the
gifts that you grow.
In fact it is my
belief that if you use your gifts for God, He will give you more gifts. It's like the Parable of the Talents. The servants who used their gifts wisely were
given more. The servant who didn't use
his gift ended up losing the gift that he had.
What's the old saying? Use it or
lose it!
