Hebrews 3:7(NKJV)
7Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says:
“Today, if you will hear His voice,
What a great line
and what a great promise. "Today,
if you will hear his voice…" As
with all of God's promises, this one is conditional. And as with all of God's other promises, the
conditional part is within your control.
You can have it if you want it and take action.
When can you enjoy a
relationship with God? "Today, if
you will hear His voice…"
When can you expect
God to start guiding your life?
"Today, if you will hear His voice…"
When can you expect
God to start healing your heart and spirit?
"Today, if you will hear His voice…"
When can you expect
God to bestow His favor on you?
"Today, if you will hear His voice…"
When can you expect
God to hear your prayers? "Today,
if you will hear His voice…"
And how do we hear
His voice?
By accepting Jesus
as our Lord and Savior. By simply asking
Jesus to come into our lives and guide us.
Have you done that yet? Why not
do it now? Just something simple like,
"Dear Jesus, I don't understand the whole deal yet but I can feel in my
heart that it is right to ask you to take over my life and help guide me. Today, I want to start hearing God's
voice. Thank you so much. Amen!"
I love this one because so often we pray to God, asking him for things, but then don't get why they don't happen. Sometimes we forget to listen for God's voice. How can we expect to hear an answer to our prayers from God if we don't listen for it?!
