I've written many
times about the importance of attitude when facing trials and
tribulations. Here is some more
Scripture that speaks to the issue.
1 Peter 4:12-13(NKJV)
12Beloved, do not think it strange
concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you;
13but rejoice to the extent that you
partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also
be glad with exceeding joy.
There is a lot of
good stuff here but I wanted to focus on one small part of it. We shouldn't be surprised when trials and
tribulations hit us. We shouldn't think
that it is something out of the ordinary.
We shouldn't think that we are being picked on. We shouldn't feel abandoned by God. Why not?
Because we were told
in advance that this was part of the deal.
Part of God's plan is that we grow through trial and tribulation. Why?
There are just some things in life that can be learned no other
way. I don't know about you but as I
look back at my life I can see the truth of that statement.
So accept it
graciously and glory in the trials and tribulations!
