Ideas, Visions, and Revelations

Going back to our What Leads To Success theme, we come to the word Idea.  Along with the word idea I am going to use vision and revelation.

Have you ever had a vision or revelation from God?  An idea or realization that just pops into your head?  It's when the proverbial light bulb clicks on and we get it.  If you have spent much time reading the Bible you have probably experienced one of those moments.  You read a certain Scripture for the 20th time and all of a sudden it makes sense when it never has before. 

We know that God will provide those ideas, visions, and revelations in regard to His Word so that we can better understand His plan for our lives.  But what about in other areas of our lives?  Will He provide ideas, visions, and revelations in other areas of our lives as well?

I believe the answer is a resounding yes. 

Let's start with this Scripture.

2 Timothy 3:16-17(NKJV)

16All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 

17that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

We are promised that God will equip us for every good work.  Is the work you are doing good in God's eyes?  Would getting new ideas and revelations on how to do it better be an example of God equipping you?  Then I think it is safe to say that He will do that for us in all areas of our lives.

I'm sure we have all had the experience where an idea pops into our head for a new or different product.  We never act on it but then we see it or something like it being advertised on TV.  And we think to ourselves, "Darn, I had that idea first, I should have acted on it.  Oh well, who knew?". 

Well apparently God did.  He's the one that gave you the idea to begin with.  God has more ideas that will lead to blessings than we could ever imagine.  All we have to do is have the courage to follow the ideas, the vision that God gives us. 

I believe the idea realm works like the story of the talents.  The more ideas you act on when God gives them to you, then the more ideas He will give you.

So next time God gives you a new idea realize what it is.  A blessing from God.  Have the courage to follow God's idea which will allow Him to add blessings to your life!
