Say what? "...the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force."

Here is another one of those that I don't ever remember reading before.  Not only do I not remember reading it but what the heck does it mean?

Matthew 11:12-13(NKJV)
12And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.
13For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.

What?  Isn't Heaven where God is?  Isn't that the place that all of us who have accepted Jesus expect to go?  Why is God allowing violence in Heaven?  Who is taking heaven by violence?  Do you ever remember reading that there was violence in heaven?

This one is going to take some study.

Speaking of what the heck does it mean.  Check this out.

Matthew 11:18-19(NKJV)
18For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, ‘He has a demon.’
19The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Look, a glutton and a winebibber, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ But wisdom is justified by her £children.”

Again, what???  That sounds suspiciously like "the end justifies the means" to me.

Another one to study and ponder on.  Studying God's Word is so much fun.  Some days it all seems to make sense.  Some days it doesn't make much sense at all.  But that doesn't matter because everyday that you spend in God's Word helps draw you closer to God!
