Once again here is
why I love studying god's Word. The Holy
Spirit is always bringing something to my attention that I have read many times
before but had never noticed. This is
especially true in Revelation because it is so cryptic. Here is one from today.
Revelation 1:5-6(NKJV)
and from Jesus
Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over
the kings of the earth. To
Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood,
and has made us kings and
priests to His God and Father, to Him be
glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
I think we are all
familiar with the references in the New Testament that we are heirs with
Christ. I had never noticed this
Scripture before. It says that Jesus has
made us "kings and priests to His God and Father". That's pretty cool!
A great word picture
to remind us that as Christians we don't need to walk around felling
defeated. We are kings (queens) and
priests of God's!
