How important are our works?

As I have written before many time, we are saved by grace but our rewards in Heaven are determined by our works.  I ran across another verse today regarding our works.

Revelation 14:13(NKJV)

Then I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them.”

Isn't that an interesting turn of phrase?  "Their works follow them".  Our works follow us to Heaven.  So when you get to Heaven and look around, do you want to be one of the people who accepted Christ and then went your merry way or do you want to be one of the people who accepted Christ and then truly "served" God?  Hmm?
