Ran across this
verse and it surprised me. This verse is
speaking of King Josiah.
2 Kings
23:25(NKJV)
25Now before him there was no king like him, who turned to
the Lord with all his heart, with all his soul, and with all his might,
according to all the Law of Moses; nor after him did any arise like him.
Scripture is telling
us that this King was greater even than King David or King Solomon. What did he do that made him so great? He totally cleaned house. He got rid of all the things that God's
people had started to worship over the years.
Even the high places that King Solomon himself had installed.
I think this gives
us each an opportunity to see if there is anything that we need to clean out of
our house. Now this isn't a guilt
thing. Don't feel that you have to find
something to get rid of. If life is good
for you right now and there are no distraction then congratulations. Enjoy!
This is merely an
opportunity to take a current inventory as it were. Just let God direct you and all will be
well!
