Satan loves to twist Scripture!

I ran across a few verses that I found interesting.  It is amazing how easily Christians are misled because they don't know Scripture.  And the sad thing is, Scripture tells us that they will be held accountable by God for allowing themselves to be led astray.

One of the memes that makes the rounds on Facebook goes something like this.  "If you are using the Bible to hurt people you are using it wrong.".  It certainly has a forgiving Christian ring to it doesn't it?  But is it Scriptural?

The people throwing that meme around are usually doing something that the Bible calls sinful and they don’t' like that being pointed out so they throw up the "using the Bible wrong" meme to deflect that criticism.

Now as I have written in the past, the Bible quite clearly tells us that one of the uses of Scripture is for correction.  People don't like being corrected and they may even be hurt by it but as you can see, that is not "using the Bible wrong" as they would try to get you to believe.

But after the Scripture I found today I see that it is even more insidious than that.  Take a look.

Ezekiel 3:16-19(NKJV)
Now it came to pass at the end of seven days that the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
“Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore hear a word from My mouth, and give them warning from Me:
When I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,’ and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life, that same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand.
Yet, if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.

See what that is saying?  When we are aware of something and we don't bring it to their attention and then they are later condemned to hell, this Scripture says their blood is on our hands and we will be called to account.  If however they do warn the other party then we are in the clear.

See how diabolical that meme really is?  If Satan can silence Christians by getting them to believe that meme then Satan gets two sinners for the price of one.
