First off my
apologies. Sorry I have been so hit or
miss this week but I am on vacation.
Enjoying some of the historical sights of Virginia.
I found this bit of
Psalms interesting. Take a look.
Psalms 105:17-19(NKJV)
17 He sent a man
before them— Joseph—who
was sold as a slave.
18 They hurt his
feet with fetters, He was laid in irons.
19 Until the time that his word
came to pass, The word of the Lord tested him.
Does it sometimes
seem like you are always struggling?
You're doing all the right things but it doesn't seem to get better?
First off I would
say check your premise. Are you doing
all the right things? Are you taking joy
in your tribulations? Are you always seeking
knowledge? Are you using the skills and
abilities that God gave you to the best of your ability?
If so then this may
be the answer. God may be preparing you
for something great. At least that was
the case for Joseph.
We know that God had
big plans for Joseph. Now you might
think that if God has big plans for someone, that person might get to lead a
pampered life. Apparently that isn't
always the case. Why do you think that
is? I personally believe it is because there are many life lesson that
can only be learned the hard way. There
just is no easy way to impart that knowledge.
In the case of
Joseph, Scripture tells us that God tested Joseph right up until it was time
for Joseph to fulfill the mission that God had for him.
So if you find
yourself struggling, just thank God for the chance to grow through the struggle
and thank Him for whatever He has planned for your life. In the end it will be worth it!
