The Bible tells us
of the importance of where our hearts are at.
It is a very important issue to God from everything I have read. Here is a NT verse that speaks to the issue.
Luke 6:45(NKJV)
45A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings
forth good; and an evil man out of the evil £treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the
abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.
But for pure poetry
I think this OT verse says it best!
Proverbs 27:19(NKJV)
19 As in water
face reflects face,
So a man’s heart reveals
the man.
