Acts 23:7-8(NKJV)
And when he had said
this, a dissension arose between the Pharisees and the Sadducees; and the
assembly was divided.
For Sadducees say that there is
no resurrection—and no angel or spirit; but the Pharisees confess both.
Makes you wonder how
they could have been one of the two mains forms of Judaism doesn't it?
Because the
resurrection hadn't happened for so many years I can see how they might have
doubted that. After all a lot of the
Scripture in the OT about the resurrection ban be a bit cryptic. But how could they not believe in Angels and
spirit? The Old Testament is replete
with unambiguous references to both.
