"till there was no remedy"

2 Chronicles 36:15-16(NKJV)
And the Lord God of their fathers sent warnings to them by His messengers, rising up early and sending them, because He had compassion on His people and on His dwelling place.
But they mocked the messengers of God, despised His words, and scoffed at His prophets, until the wrath of the Lord arose against His people, till there was no remedy.

God will put up with a lot in His patient hope that as many as possible will come to believe in His son, Jesus Christ.  But according to this verse (as well as others) He won't put up with a lot forever.  There is an end to His patience.  But where exactly is that end?

There are many that think that this part of the above Scripture could easily describe today.   "But they mocked the messengers of God, despised His words, and scoffed at His prophets".  I was reading today in Luke and I ran across this theme as well.

Luke 21:8-9(NKJV)
And He said: “Take heed that you not be deceived. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am He,’ and, ‘The time has drawn near.’ Therefore do not go after them.
But when you hear of wars and commotions, do not be terrified; for these things must come to pass first, but the end will not come immediately.”

Luke goes on to describe many other things that could indicate when the end is close.  Many of those things we see happening around us today, while other things not so much.

When is the end continues to be a popular subject.  A lot of people seem to think they have it figured out.  But what if they are wrong?  What if the end comes sooner or later than they think.

Did you ever stop to think that maybe we are asking the wrong question?  Maybe the more important question is "who cares?"!  Why do so many people want to know when the end is near?  Because they know they have to make a choice and they don't want to make it right now but they don't want to run out of time either.

I would suggest to you that the question of when is really not that important.  The most vital and important question is not "when" but "have you?".  As in "Have you made a commitment to stand with Jesus yet?  Have you asked Jesus to come into your life as your personal Lord and Savior?".

Because if you and all those close to you have said Yes to Jesus then the "when" really becomes irrelevant.  So how about it?  Isn't it time that you experienced the saving grace of Jesus?  Just have a conversation with Jesus.  "Dear Jesus...."
