John 15:11(NKJV)
11“These things I have spoken to you, that
My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.
This goes right
along with some of the other things I have written about this week. Things like let not your heart be troubled
and living an abundant life.
Here Jesus tells us
that He wants our joy to be full. What
does that mean exactly? When you combine
it with the others I think it gives us a picture of what God wants for our lives.
He wants us to live
joy filled and abundant lives. Does that
mean things go right for us 100% of the time?
Don't be silly. Life isn't like
that. What I think God truly wants if
for us to be joy filled no matter what our current circumstances.
He wants us to lead
untroubled lives no matter our circumstances.
He wants us to face adversity with a smile on our face and joy in our
hearts. Why?
Because it is a real
life expression of our faith!
